Here’s a little something to do on a hot summer day. A very special lady shared this with me and I wanted to share it with you!
All Is Well
For those that inquired, the Director is home and doing well. Your kind words and thoughts are much appreciated!

Summer Reading
Summer Reading is just around the corner! Mark you calendars and join teacher Lynn Williams for Dream Big…Read!
Wednesdays at 10am, starting June 27th. In observance of Independence Day we will be skipping to July 11th, 18th and wrapping up on the 25th.
If you’d like to help out the Summer Reading Program you can donate prizes and craft items!
Night Science
Join us Monday, June 25th at 2pm to find out what goes on when the lights are off.
Open the door at night and step outside. Most colors look gray or black. Sounds jump out at you. Smells seem stronger. Even the air feels different. It is night.
Night is different . It doesn’t matter if you life in the country or in a city. What you see in the sky is different. Different animals are active. Different plants are in bloom. And the night changes every season of the year. Join a naturalist from Dallas County Conservation who will close the door, turn off the lights, and lead you through an active exploration of how your body and the natural world work when it is dark.

A.R. Miller
Last year A.R.’s book wasn’t due until late summer and it was only supposed to be an ebook. I’m glad to report Disenchanted is also available in print. She’ll also have the signature scent created by her friends at Prairieland Herbs for the Fey Creations series.
